LITHUANIAN NATIONAL OPERA AND BALLET

By arrangement with PMB Projects the Nottingham Royal Centre presented the first and only UK appearance of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet at the Royal Centre, Nottingham in July 2004.

This first time visit to the UK was a unique and exciting opportunity to see the world-class Opera and Ballet companies of Lithuania.

Opera was first produced in Lithuania in 1636, so Vilnius was one of the first of European capital cities to have this art form and the theatre is now an important centre of culture.
